Council has sought expert advice on the development of a Long Term Energy Strategy, which focuses on the future financial sustainability of Council. This has included a review of Council’s current energy state, and current and future energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities. The intent of this strategy is to provide guidance to enable Council to continue to pursue and implement the most appropriate energy projects.

To read the draft Long Term Energy Strategy look in the Document Library section on your right and then click on the Strategy. You may also be interested in reading the Report by 100% Renewable which is also located in the Document Library.

Any person may make a written submission to Council up until the end of the exhibition period. Submissions close 20 September 2017.
