We are upgrading the Kendall Recreation Reserve play space. In addition to bench seating, picnic shelter and raised garden beds, the draft concept design includes a range of equipment including:

  • Nest swing
  • Climbing tower with slide
  • Trampoline
  • Musical instruments

The new play space will be built in the south east corner of the site - diagonally opposite its current location. This design is based on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles and creates room for a future basketball half-court.

Funding

The play space is partially funded under the 2023/2024 Operational Plan with additional funding allocated from the Norrie Reserve Playground, which will not be replaced following flood damage.
