Policy Review- Local Preference Policy
Thankyou for your interest in this project. This consultation has now concluded. A finalised report will be provided in the coming months
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is committed to local community and business growth.
When Council buys product or contracts services this is currently done under a procurement or tendering process.
We are seeking community and business owners feedback about a new policy. The draft "Local Preference Policy" helps local businesses have a step up when competing to sell or provide services to Council - of course value for money, quality and delivery deadlines are also requirements.
Your feedback will help us:
- To determine the community views on whether the draft Local Preference Policy will give best value to Council;
- To determine the community views on whether the draft Local Preference Policy will help local businesses;
- To find out what the community and business owners feels should be our priority; and
- To identify any gaps or problem areas within the draft Local Preference Policy.
To get involved and have your say:
You can have a look at the draft Policy and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) which is located in the document Library on the right;
