This consultation has now concluded.

At the Council meeting on 20 November 2019, the proposed amendments to Port Macquarie-Hastings Development Control Plan (DCP) 2013 were endorsed for public exhibition. This involves Stage 1 housekeeping and administrative amendments to streamline and modernise the DCP. This review will ensure consistency with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines and will facilitate efficient assessment of Development Applications.

The Stage 1 review will incorporate Council’s DCP 2011 (Area Based Provisions) into DCP 2013 so as to create a single draft DCP, which applies to the Local Government Area. The update will also assist in a ready transition to the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s standard format DCP, due to be released in early 2020.
