Laurieton Oval

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council maintains 66 playgrounds across the municipality. In 2017/18 we are upgrading Laurieton Oval (or Vince Inmon Oval Playground) in Castle Street, Laurieton

New features for the playground will include a new platform with slide, asphalt bike/scooter track, timber boats and interactive timber bridge with sound bells.

Key objectives for the upgrade include:

  • Addition of natural play elements eg logs, and rocks
  • More shade and seating
  • Diversity of equipment
  • Upgraded softfall and edging

A final Concept Plan has been developed and is available for viewing. The playground equipment shown in the Laurieton Oval Concept plan has been changed to cater to an older child age range as per feedback received from the community.
