Consultation has concluded

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has been working with the North Shore Community to understand what they love about their place and how they see it evolving in the future.

The next stage in this process is to establish a Community-Council Action Team to help develop the community plan and then to work together to prioritise, scope and deliver the identified actions.

We’re looking for people from diverse backgrounds, interests and experiences able to demonstrate:

  • Strong community networks and linkages;

  • An ability to constructively participate in the development and delivery of actions to benefit the wider community;

  • An ability to represent viewpoints and interests that reflect the diversity of the community;

  • Good knowledge and understanding of local issues;

  • A willingness to contribute positively to meetings in a fair and unbiased manner;

  • An ability to look beyond personal interests for the benefit of the community and residents; and

  • An ability and willingness to encourage participation and feedback by the community.

A Charter for the Community-Council Action Team which outlines the purpose of the Action Teams and the responsibilities of its members and the Nomination Form can be viewed in the Document Library (to the right).

We prefer that you complete the nomination form online but it can also be:

  • Dropped into one of Council’s offices at Laurieton, Port Macquarie and Wauchope;

  • Posted to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, PO Box 84, Port Macquarie NSW 2444

  • Scanned and emailed to communityplans@pmhc.nsw.gov.au

Note: In the nomination form we ask for your address, age bracket, gender and other personal details. This information will be kept confidential and will only be used to assess and ensure diverse representation on the Action Team.
