Rezoning of certain land at Pioneer Street, North Haven

Council has prepared a Planning Proposal to amend Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Environmental Plan 2011 to Rezone part Lot 14 DP240042, Pioneer Street, North Haven from RU1 Primary Production to part R1 General Residential, part E2 Environmental Conservation and part RU1 Primary Production and associated amendments to the Height of Buildings, Floor Space Ratio and Minimum Lot Size maps.

The intended outcomes of this proposal are to allow future residential development on the western side of Pioneer Street, forming an extension to the existing residential lots; and to protect ecological values on the site.

Public Exhibition

The proposal will be on public exhibition from 1 August to 29 August 2018 and will be available for view in the Document Library (on the right or below if using a mobile device) and at Council’s offices in Port Macquarie (17 Burrawan Street) and Laurieton (9 Laurie Street) from 8.30am – 4.30pm.

During this time, Council is inviting all interested persons to view the Planning Proposal and provide written comments. All comments received will be reported to a meeting of Council for consideration prior to finalising the proposal to rezone the land.

Written submissions in relation to the proposal are invited up until 5pm, 29 August 2018.

Council has been authorised as Local Plan-Making Authority to make a final decision in relation to the Planning Proposal.
