Consultation has concluded

Council is currently in the early stages of developing a Positive Ageing Strategy and we would like to have input from people aged over 55 years.

Positive ageing embraces the notion that individuals have opportunities and choices enabling them to maximise independence and control over their lives. Positve ageing focuses on an individuals quality of life and encourages continuing participation in all aspects of community life.

Planning for positive ageing will affect the way we deliver services, design our homes and towns, plan our transport and develop our workforces.

We would love to hear your ideas

To get involved fill in the survey and share a story.
