Thank you for your views and ideas on how to improve this place space. Work on this playground is now complete with a bike track, spiral slide, double slide and rope bridge, nature play and swings.

We are also looking at putting a tap back in to provide somewhere to refill water bottles.

The final plan can be seen here - Bellangry Park Playground Final Concept

Bellangry Reserve is one of 12 playgrounds across the Hastings that is being built and upgraded in the 2015-2016 financial year. To see the other playgrounds, visit The Play Space

Thank you for those who shared ideas for improving this space.

We received many comments via email and online, including a couple concerning traffic movements on nearby roads.

Unfortunately we don't have enough money to put in traffic calming measures and we would like to use what budget we have on the playground itself. We have made some minor changes to the plan which include moving the earth mounds further away from Lake Road and closer to the playground and we'll keep an eye on any traffic issues that may arise.
