The upgrade of this playground has now been completed. To find out more about other playgrounds being upgraded, visit The Play Space

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas on Ferry Reserve Playground.

The playground upgrade has now been completed with a 'time tunnel', climbing net, nest swing, nature play and new carousel.

We received many comments during our session at the playground and online. As most of the comments were positive, we have only made some small changes to the plan.

The changes include changing the type of net swing to allow for an additional carousel, additional shade and moving the log seating to use the existing shade. Log stepper balance posts were kept but the rocks, carved lizard and carved seating were less popular so were removed so that we have enough money for the additional carousel.

This is one of 12 playgrounds across the Hastings that are being built or upgraded in the 2015-2016 financial year. You can have a look at the others at The Play Space
