This consultation has concluded. A report will be collated, made available to the public and referenced in development of new contract documents.

Ferry Services

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has been managing the ferry services across the Hastings River for many years. This includes the ferry at Settlement Point and the ferry at Hibbard Drive.

Changes to the ferry fees & charges were adopted at the June 2015 Ordinary Council meeting. Changes will be introduced from 1 July 2015.

These changes aim to retain the current pricing for concession holders, introduce a higher cost for infrequent non concession holders and in effect reduce the level of subsidy provided through the General Funds. Introducing whole dollar fees will allow for a fast payment and ticketing process which will improve the efficiency of the service.

Types of tickets available:

  • Annual pass
  • Concession ticket books
  • Monthly ticket
  • Weekly ticket
  • Single trip

More information on the ticket structure and types of tickets available for purchase can be found in the fact sheet.

Council staff will be on the North Shore at the RFS selling resident concession stickers, annual passes and tickets on:

  • June 20th and 27th between 8am and 1pm
  • June 25th between 1 - 7pm
  • June 26th between 3 - 7pm
  • Saturday 27 June 8am-1pm
