Onsite Sewage Management

Consultation has concluded

Not connected to the sewer?

If you are a resident or business that has an onsite sewage system, then we would like to hear from you.

We are currently looking at risk ratings, inspection frequencies and application requirements and we would appreciate your knowledge and opinion. This information will help us review and update the existing policy for Onsite Sewage Management.

As part of these changes, we are interested in hearing your views about how we can work together to ensure we meet our legal requirements in a way that is fair and protects the environment and public health.

What you can do to be involved?
  • Have a look at the Onsite Sewage Management Presentation which was developed for the community workshops earlier this month. This has some information about proposed changes
  • We have put together 7 quick ones. These are 7 statements that we would love to hear whether you agree with or not. To have your say on these, go to the 7 quick ones below
  • Have a question, ask it below on the Q & A and one of our helpful Environmental Health Officers will get back to you.
  • We have posted a few FAQ's of questions we have been asked in the past.
  • Spread the word to your neighbours and friends who also have onsite sewage.
