Consultation has concluded

At Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s Ordinary Council Meeting held on 17 March 2022, Council resolved to place the Draft Providing Funding and Support to the Community Policy on exhibition for a period of 28 days.

Council provides a range of funding and support programs to individuals and community groups in recognition of their vital contribution to community development and well-being. These range from our community grants program, as well as supporting activities, services and projects that benefit the community, builds capacity and contribute to delivery of the Community Strategic Plan priorities.

This policy applies to all funding and support including grants, donations, discounts, waivers, subsidies, in-kind support, discretionary and mandatory payments made by Council.

The Providing Funding and Support to the Community Policy was last reviewed by Council in July 2013, and in the current review the following minor amendments were made:

  • Refining of the existing information to be more succinct and relevant
  • Updating organisational information and responsibilities

The Draft Policy will be on exhibition from Thursday 24 March 2022 to Thursday 21 April 2022.

A further report will be tabled at the May 2022 meeting of Council, detailing the submissions received from the public during the exhibition period
