Our area has some fantastic recreational resources including sporting facilities, and our amazing beaches. As a Council, we need to be well prepared to continue to deliver the right level of recreational facilities and services to our unique population into the future.

Last year Council engaged ROSS Planning to develop a Recreation Plan for the next 10 years.During the extensive community consultation period (from November 2013 to 20 January 2014), open public meetings were held and surveys were conducted throughout the local government area. Local sporting groups, schools, and community groups were also contacted and interviewed.

This information helped to draft the proposed Recreation Plan, which is now available for you to have a look at and share your thoughts.
