Consultation has concluded

In May 2014, Council adopted the Liveable Neighbourhoods urban design report for the Town Fringe areas of Westport, Aston Hill and Town Beach East. The report recommended numerous changes to the planning controls for the area. Council is now proceeding to implement these recommendations by amending the Local Environmental Plan and the Development Control Plan.

Why should you be interested?

These changes directly relate to the design of future buildings in the area. If you live in the area, you will likely be interested in things like how tall a building could be built next door, how far from the boundary the walls might be, or how many people might ultimately live in the neighbourhood. If you have opinions and ideas, now is the best time to voice them by putting in a formal submission.

How can I get involved?

1.   You can read the following documents to find out more about what is being recommended:

2.   You can share your view by completing a submission in the tab below - closes 27 October
