Water play concept

The Port Macquarie Aquatic Facility (Stages 1 & 2) Development Application for the Macquarie Park site is now on public exhibition until 23 April 2024.

Key features of the design include: 50-metre outdoor pool; 25-metre pool with transparent roof; 20-metre indoor pool; gym; amenities; kiosk, splash pad and slide, and 170 parking spaces. View the concept renders.

The design of this recreational facility follows comprehensive community and key stakeholder engagement over several years.

The DA process is about ensuring that the design complies with planning regulations, zoning, and environmental standards. It is not about the proposed layout and facility inclusions.

The estimated $67 million project remains unfunded at this stage. The DA will be determined by an independent body that considers the outcome of Council-owned developments with a value of more than $5 million.

How to make a submission

You can make a submission via the form at the bottom of this page or alternatively provide feedback by:

  • writing to PO Box 84 Port Macquarie NSW 2444; or
  • emailing to council@pmhc.nsw.gov.au; or
  • contacting the assessing officer by phoning the Customer Service Centre on 6581 8111 during normal office hours (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm).

All submission must:

  • include your full name, postal or email address, and telephone number so council can formally acknowledge the submission; and
  • be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and reference the relevant application number (DA 2024.141.1 PAN-418222).

We will be accepting submissions up until midnight Tuesday 23 April 2024.
