Council's Plans and Budget for 2016 - 2017

Submissions for 2016-2017 Operational Plan have have now closed. A report to council based on these submissions is now being prepared.

Finishing the replacement of Stingray Creek Bridge at North Haven; a major upgrade of Houston Mitchell Drive at Lake Cathie; upgrading of Beechwood Road (stage 2); the replacement of Hyndmans Creek bridge on Comboyne Road. These are some of of the major projects planned for the next Operational Plan.


The 2016-2017 Operational Plan is currently in draft stage and outlines all the activities, programs and capital works Council will undertake during the next financial year, with a projected spending of $188.3M.

High priority areas include:
  • $40.8M to be spent on Roads and Transport
  • $23.6M contribution towards Sewerage Services
  • $23.4M on managing the Water Supply
  • $17.2M planned for Waste Management
