Glasshouse

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is committed to ensuring arts, heritage and culture play a strong role in the development of the Port Macquarie-Hastings region’s future, identity and sense of place.

The Glasshouse is our flagship arts, conference and entertainment centre located in the heart of the Port Macquarie CBD. The venue plays a key role in supporting Council’s cultural vision for the region and is home to high-quality spaces and state-of-the-art technical facilities including a 588-seat theatre, international standard regional gallery, performance studio, conference facilities, Visitor Information Centre, gift shop and heritage displays.

The Draft Glasshouse Plan 2020 - 2022 seeks to build on previous success and align the Glasshouse strategic direction with Council’s Cultural Plan 2018 – 2021. The Draft Plan aims to facilitate the achievement of Council’s strategic vision for the venue through a focus on three (3) key outcome areas:

  • Enhancing utilisation, visitation and participation;
  • Developing successful partnerships; and
  • Promoting viability and ensuring good governance.

The Draft Plan is on public exhibition from Friday, 24th January to Friday, 21st February 2020 and is available to view in the document library to the right (or below if viewing this page on a mobile device) and at Council’s offices in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton.

During the exhibition, all interested persons are encouraged to view the Draft Plan and provide written comments. All comments received will be reported to a future Council meeting for consideration before a final decision is made.

Please note, any submission may be made public. Contact details remain confidential; however let us know if you would like your name to remain confidential too.
