Consultation on this plan has now concluded. Submissions are now being reviewed and prepared for a report to Council.

Have your say in the future sustainable growth of your community. Right now Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is inviting your feedback on potential future conservation and development within the Fernbank Creek and Sancrox areas west of Port Macquarie. This investigation is being undertaken to balance the growth of our community with protecting areas of high conservation value and avoiding areas of high environmental risk.

As part of this investigation, Council has developed a Discussion Paper to undertake a preliminary review of the opportunities and limitations of the area and to seek your feedback. This feedback will be used to inform the development of a Structure Plan for this area to guide future conservation and development outcomes.

The Fernbank Creek and Sancrox Planning Investigation Area Discussion Paper and associated Fact Sheet (available in the Document Library to the right or below if viewing on a mobile) will be on public exhibition until 19 February 2020. You are invited to review the exhibition material and provide written feedback.

The exhibition material is available to view on Council’s website, and in hard copy at Council’s Customer Service Centres and Libraries at Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton. Council will also be running a ‘pop up session’ at Sovereign Hills Town Centre on Wednesday 12th February from 11am - 1pm to provide information on the proposal.
