Pioneer Park Playground concept

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council maintains 66 playgrounds across the municipality. In 2017/18 we are upgrading Pioneer Park in Comboyne.

New features for the playground will include a new play element with climbing net and slide, swing set with nest, picnic table and shelter with path connection.

Key objectives for the upgrade include:

  • More shade and seating
  • Equipment suited to Comboyne’s rural setting
  • Addition of natural play elements eg logs and rocks
  • Upgraded softfall and edging

    Comboyne – Pioneer Park is receiving a facelift with new play equipment, gardens, shelter and seating. Engagement with the public and students from the Comboyne Public School around the design of the Playground included students participating in ‘Designing a Brick Paving’ to be included in the playground area.

    Work is expected to be completed Mid July.
