Have your say on a proposal to rezone and reclassify Council owned land at Wauchope for regional sports.

Planning Proposal

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has prepared a draft planning proposal to change the rural zoning of Council owned land at Wauchope to 'public recreation'.

The site - Lot 52 DP1035553, Lot 2 DP1118155 and Lots 11 & 12 DP855941 - located on the corner of the Oxley Highway and Stoney Creek Road, Wauchope is zoned RU1 Primary Production under Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Environmental Plan 2011. The planning proposal sets out the intended changes to the zone and provides justification for the change. If finalised and approved, the proposal will enable the land to be developed for public open space and it will permit a range of future multi-sport and recreational uses.

Notice of Proposed Resolution to Classify Public Land

Notice is given of a separate proposal to reclassify the above land at Wauchope from ‘Operational’ public land to ‘Community’ public land.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Section 34 of the Local Government Act 1993 that Council is considering the classification of land as described in the resolution below. A period of 28 days from the date of publication of this Notice is provided for the receipt of written comments on the proposed land classification. Any and all submissions received on the land classification proposal will be considered by Council before the land is classified. Submissions received may be used in Council reports and disclosed to the public under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and will be treated in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998.

Schedule
