Thank you to the Community for your feedback and submissions.

It has been endorsed at the Ordinary Council meeting on 18 September 2019 that the Bold Street Laurieton pedestrian crossing to be located at Option 3 (linking the Chemist to Coles).

Consultation has concluded

Council is currently considering the location of the proposed Pedestrian Crossing in Bold Street, Laurieton and is seeking input from the community about the preferred location to help inform the final decision.

A report was tabled at the July 2019 Council meeting, outlining the project background, the engagement carried out to-date and potential locations for the crossing. The Council Report can be viewed in the Document Library (to the right).

In addition to Council’s preferred option, two alternative options are being investigated in regard to safety, functionality and financial impacts.

A comparison of the three options and the Concept Plans for each option are also available in the Document Library.

Council applied for and were successful in receiving a grant of $347,000 under the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
