This consultation has concluded.

Council currently manages around 30 outgoing community funding programs including grants, donations and subsidies that support a wide range of community projects.

This draft Funding Provided to the Community Policy is the first step in creating a standardised and overarching framework for how all the community funding programs are coordinated and managed.

By working closely with the community, particularly community groups and past grant recipients Council aims to;

  • reduce the number of policies and practices in place regarding grants and public funding
  • improve efficiency and effectiveness of outgoing funding
  • reduce risk
  • ensure equitable and transparent processes for administering community funding

Get involved and have a say by downloading the draft policy from the document library and making a submission. The Policy is open for comment until 24th May 2013.
