Community Inclusion Plan
Consultation has concluded
Help us build a stronger community
Council recognises that it has a unique role in promoting active community participation, reducing disadvantage, strengthening community well-being and celebrating diversity in the community.
To help do this, Council is creating a Community Inclusion Plan which will outline our vision for an inclusive community for all. The Community Inclusion Plan will include a range of actions for the next three years to strengthen the social wellbeing and inclusion of our community and work towards achieving this vision.
The Plan will focus on young people, seniors, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, volunteers, those with a disability and people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Do you have any ideas for how we can build a more connected, inclusive, liveable and engaged community?
Over the next few months we are looking for your input to help us understand what an inclusive community means to you and how we can create such a community. We will be hosting pop-up information kiosks during Seniors Week, Youth Week and National Reconciliation Week and we will be having conversations with key agencies, community groups, service providers and advocacy groups as well as hosting a community stakeholder think tank.
