Consultation has concluded
Thank you to everyone who has been involved and shared your thoughts and ideas to help inform the development of the Community Strategic Plan. Over the last year we have been actively seeking to hear all voices from our community, through a range of engagement including: surveys, ideas walls, focus groups, an online symposium, pop up stalls and round table sessions.
Your ideas will help inform the community’s long term vision for our Region and identifies objectives and strategies to achieve this vision.
We're reviewing your feedback and will report back in the next few months. Key stakeholder groups and the community will have the opportunity to provide further input before the draft CSP is developed.
We have collated the feedback from an earlier round table session, along with previous focus groups and surveys to help refine the themes, aspirations and vision.
What is the purpose of the Community Strategic Plan?
The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is an overarching 10 year plan that is prepared by Council and the community based on community priorities. The plan reflects our combined aspirations for the future and enables Council to coordinate its funding priorities, activities and services.
Our CSP should:
Inform the strategic decision-making that will shape our future community and environment;
Protect and enhance the community’s values and everything that makes our region unique;
Pave the way for the future by anticipating change and the impacts of that change on the community, economy and environment; and
Achieve inclusivity, sustainability, accountability and innovation in service delivery.
We all have an interest in our place and we all have the opportunity to Think 2050 and create our future together.
