When we looked at the park, this is some of the issues and opportunities we saw. Are there others that you would like to share?
    • ISSUE: Main Playground Structure has much play value but it is rusted and in poor condition
    • OPPORTUNITY: Investigate repair possibilities to gain second life. This saves funds for some new elements
    • ISSUE: Play structure is very traditional
    • OPPORTUNITY: Diversify play opportunities with nature play and custom elements
    • ISSUE: The softfall area is larger than required by standards. This creates a large open space that doesn’t have a sense of enclosure or children’s scale
    • OPPORTUNITY: Create enclosure by creating smaller play rooms using edging and planting
    • ISSUE: Surrounding fences are blank and imposing
    • OPPORTUNITY: Create use of planting
    • ISSUE: Treated pine retaining walls are in good condition and provide a seating edge. Their appearance is dated and rundown
    • OPPORTUNITY: Upgrade edges with a timber stain and soften with planting. Retain some as seating.
    • ISSUE: Lack of footpaths along road
    • OPPORTUNITY: Provide more path linkages into the playground
    • ISSUE: Important linkage to surrounding houses is underplayed
    • OPPORTUNITY: Highlight this as an entry to Endeavour Park through signage and path linkages
    • ISSUE: Casuarinas have untidy foliage to the ground. This makes the park feel unloved and impedes views into and out of the park
    • OPPORTUNITY: Prune casuarinas and mulch or plant understory to provide a more open and inviting street frontage
