Gaol Point Lookout

Engagement on this project has now concluded. Stay tuned for updates about outcomes.

April 2016 Update:

The Port Macquarie Lions Club and Tacking Point Lions Club have been working over the past couple of months to complete the centre island at Rotary Park

New signage which includes a map of the old town layout and a sandstone wall capture some of Port Macquarie heritage.

New footpaths, viewing area and balustrade are also about to be constructed along with a refurbished viewline sign to show people the names of the mountains and points, such as Point Plomer.

In celebration of a 100 years of Lions Club Interanational, the Lions Club have sponsored a large granite toposcope to be installed into the pavement to show the compass points and direction of a number of major places around the world.

Have a look at the final design Rotary Park or to experience the scenery and history, make some time to visit the site. Don't forget to bring your camera.

This project has been a joint partnership between the Lions Clubs and Council.
