Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has made a public commitment to increasing the involvement of the community in Council’s processes and decision making. In recent years a great deal of community engagement has centred around the development of the Towards 2030 Community Strategic Plan and the associated Integrated Planning documents.

There are also ways for the community to have a say and get involved in the day to day processes of Council, the meetings, the committees and the regular community engagement activities held throughout the local government area.

Did you know there are lots of ways to get involved?

Get Involved through the survey and discussion forum. The aim of the survey and forum is to find out how much the community knows about the opportunities to get involved in decision making. The information gained will help Council plan and promote these activities and provide valuable background information to the new Council following the September local government elections.

So get involved, have your say and help plan for future partnerships between Council and the local community.
