Council owned land Greenmeadows Drive, Port Macquarie

A planning proposal has been prepared to rezone Council owned land at Lot 139 DP 815514 Greenmeadows Drive for future residential development and to protect the bushland at the rear of the site.

Background

The current plan proposes changing the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Environmental Plan 2011 to rezone the land on the eastern part of the site from Primary Production (RU1) to General Residential (R1). Making it consistent with the surrounding residential development.

It is also proposed to rezone the land on the western part of the site to Environmental Conservation (E2). This will change the classification from 'operational land' to 'community land', ensuring it is kept forever for environmental conservation.
