Six workers wearing high visibility vests and hard hats are standing inside a stadium being constructed.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is committed to local community and business growth.

When Council buys product or contracts services this is currently done under a procurement or tendering process.

We are seeking community and business owners feedback about a new policy. The draft "Local Preference Policy" helps local businesses have a step up when competing to sell or provide services to Council - of course value for money, quality and delivery deadlines are also requirements.

Your feedback will help us:

  • To determine the community views on whether the draft Local Preference Policy will give best value to Council;
  • To determine the community views on whether the draft Local Preference Policy will help local businesses;
  • To find out what the community and business owners feels should be our priority; and
  • To identify any gaps or problem areas within the draft Local Preference Policy.

To get involved and have your say:

  • You can have a look at the draft Policy and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) which is located in the document Library on the right;

  • To share your views about the draft Local Preference Policy use the Submission tab below OR send an email OR post your response to:
