This consultation has concluded. A report will be presented to Council in coming months.

Flynn's Seawall Your SayThe existing retaining wall at Flynn's Beach is in poor condition with concrete cancer taking over in some panels and posts. The structure at the northern end of the beach is unstable and ground water has caused erosion of the fill. Temporary repairs have been undertaken in the short term with the placement of rocks, however replacement of the wall is required in the longer term.

The current proposal is to replace the existing retaining wall with a new seawall that will not only protect the beach and facilities, but also preserve and enhance the beauty and amenity of Flynn's Beach.

Council wants to hear what the community think of the concept plans that have been developed. Do you have a preference and what are the features that appeal to you most?

Have your say!

Submissions for the Concept Plan stage close on 25th February 2013.

Once the community has provided feedback on the concepts a report will go to Council with recommendations about moving to a detailed design for this project. Further community engagement will occur regarding detailed designs which will include a project timeline and budget.
