The draft Port Macquarie Airport Master Plan is our 20-year vision for Port Macquarie Airport - a framework to deliver long-term, sustainable, safe and secure air transport services for the community.
What does it cover?
Land use and spatial requirements for future passenger transport and general aviation operations
Complementary developments around the airport
How the airport will respond to the latest industry regulations, trends and opportunities
Compliance with CASA and biodiversity requirements
Since the 2010 Master Plan and addendum in 2013, Council has invested in significant development across the airport site to improve operations and accommodate growth in demand.
Passenger growth is expected to nearly double by 2045, from 218,600 in 2019 to 396,000 passengers.
As this forecast growth eventuates, the draft Airport Master Plan envisages a range of developments to accommodate the increase in passengers and aircraft, as summarised in the three stages below:

Stage 2: 5-10 years
Stage 3: 10-20 years

Development of Potential Solar Farm
Expansion of General Aviation 1 and 2

Terminal expansion
Additional Car Park Across Tuffins Lane
Development of General Aviation 3
Extension of Taxiway Charlie
Ongoing development of the Business Park
