We are excited to announce the launch of the Port Macquarie City Heart Project, enhancing Port Macquarie’s role as a vibrant cultural and social hub.

This project will improve housing supply and activate the city centre through arts, culture and events, supporting business and entertainment.

We want to talk with the Port Macquarie community and local businesses to gather your ideas and feedback on how we can shape the future our city centre together.

Why are we planning?

The Port Macquarie City Heart Master Plan will consider how Port Macquarie city centre will grow into the future.

The project aims to also activate the city centre through arts, culture, and events, supporting the city heart as the principal activity centre for business, retail and entertainment.

The Plan will detail appropriate planning control and master-planning to ensure Port Macquarie is connected regionally and locally, with a distinctive and vibrant city heart.
