Council is reviewing our four-year Cultural Plan. The new cultural vision reflects a commitment to building a community where people are respected and where creative expression is valued. This plan supports Council’s broader vision to be the most liveable sustainable and innovative place in Australia.

The name, Growing the Circle, is about expanding how and what we share - our stories, spaces, cultural practices and celebrations - so that more people feel seen, heard and valued. When we expand the circle, we don't just add people, we recognise and reflect the way we are as a community

By grounding our approach in both community voice and established research, we have ensured that the Cultural Plan is both locally relevant and robust, positioning our region to deliver meaningful cultural outcomes with long term impact.

The Cultural Plan will guide Council’s actions over the next four years. We welcome feedback from everyone, and especially encourage contributions from emerging and established artists and creatives, creative businesses, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ people, older people and young people.
