Consultation has concluded
At Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s Ordinary Council Meeting held on 12 December 2024, Council resolved to place the Draft Liquid Trade Waste Policy on exhibition for a period of 28 days.
The Draft Liquid Trade Waste Policy was last reviewed by Council in 2022. As part of the NSW Best Practice Management of Water Supply and Sewerage Framework, this policy ensures sound regulation and pricing of sewerage and liquid trade waste.
This Policy has been developed to ensure the proper control of liquid trade waste and hence protection of public health, worker safety, the environment, and Council’s sewerage system. The policy also promotes waste minimisation, water conservation, water recycling and biosolids reuse.
The draft policy will be on exhibition from Monday 13 January 2025 to Tuesday 11 February 2025 and is available to view in the document library to the right (or below if viewing this page on a mobile device).
Have Your Say
During the exhibition, all interested persons are encouraged to view the draft policy and provide written comments. All comments received will be reported to a future Council meeting for consideration before a final decision is made.
Please note, any submission may be made public. Contact details remain confidential; however, let us know if you would like your name to remain confidential too.
