Consultation has now concluded.
This policy was adopted at the July 2025 Ordinary Council meeting. Approved fee waivers will be recorded in a register and reported in Council's Annual Report.
This policy provides a framework for the consistent and equitable assessment of requests for the reduction or waiver of Council fees and charges for the use of Council facilities or other operational services provided by Council.
Specifically, it seeks to ensure:
- A standard process for applicants to follow
- Equitable assessment of all requests
- Transparent and accountable decision making
- Effective reporting mechanisms.
Council welcomes feedback on the draft policy, which outlines aspects such as exclusions, categories, assessment criteria and disaster provisions.
