Consultation has concluded
As a community we connect, we talk, we play and we grieve together.
Our coastline, beaches and ocean attract thousands of locals and visitors every year. Tragically, a number of people lose their lives in this environment and we acknowledge that nothing can ever replace the loss of a loved-one.
The Lost at Sea project will provide a permanent, safe and welcoming, sculptural space where family members and friends can go to reflect, to grieve and to connect with someone they have lost at sea in our region.
We will commission an artist to design the space through an expression of interest process.
