We are inviting the community and interested stakeholders to comment on a planning proposal related to a proposed rezoning of land located within Thrumster Business Park, being Lots 101-135, DP 1304965, and proposed Lots 304-306 in subdivision of part Lot 100 DP 1304965, at Achievement Avenue, Vision Street and Legacy Street, Thrumster NSW 2444. The proposal seeks to include an additional permitted use of shop top housing to facilitate the future development of 170 residential units, and enable 17,600m2 of commercial, industrial and general trading spaces.

Purpose

The draft planning proposal requests to rezone the subject land from zone E4 General Industrial to zone E3 Productivity Support. Part of the lots are subject to acoustic controls to provide the additional use for shop top housing and other associated changes. Public Exhibition

The draft Planning Proposal (PP-2023-2079) known as Thrumster Business Park, being land at Achievement Avenue, Vision Street and Legacy Street, Thrumster NSW 2444 is on public exhibition from 23 June to midnight 19 August 2025. This includes the suite of appendices and attachments located in the related documents. It also includes the Gateway Determination (undertaken by the NSW Government Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure), which is required to progress the proposal.

Council's Role in Planning

Council is the designated Local Plan Making Authority (LMPA) for our region. This means that we play a central role in shaping local land use policy, zoning, and development controls in the region.
