Thank you for your interest in this project. The consultation has now concluded.

Westport Park Boat Ramp

Westport Park boat ramp and the surrounding facilities has long been our region's most heavily used facility for both boating enthusiasts, major events, visitors and the broader community.

Due to the growth in population and the increasing demand for quality boating and waterway facilities, we're upgrading the Westport Park boat ramp venue in order to ensure this facility can cater for the increasing capacity of users and provide more opportunity for different user groups to enjoy the facility.

The Westport Park Boat Ramp Upgrade includes:

  • Lengthening of parking bays to maximise trailer parking efficiency.
  • Upgrading the existing wash bay and adding a second wash bay.
  • Widening the access road to allow for derigging prior to boat launching.
  • New kayak launch area and picnic tables with shelter.

From our community consultation so far, we have received significant feedback on our concept design. From this, we've developed a revised concept design to reflect community feedback and we invite you to have your say! To ensure you have time to share your thoughts, we have extended the consultation period until Monday 14 June 2021.

The improvements made in the revised design include:

  • Increased boat parking
  • Extension of several boat parking spaces to accommodate longer trailers
  • Relocation of rigging area to accommodate longer trailers
  • Reconfiguration of parking layout to allow for drive through, nose in or reverse parking
  • Relocation of wash bay.

We would love for you to provide feedback on the revised concept design which can be viewed in the Document Library (to the right or below if viewing on a mobile device), at our customer service centres or at one of the Port Macquarie, Wauchope or Laurieton Libraries.
